Trending: Employee Based Content

Employee advocacy and employee created content is nothing new - but it is having its moment in short form video right now, especially on TikTok. If you have employees who are willing (and excited) to be on camera this can be a great way to make content affordably, consistently, and offer an insight that truly no one else can to your company online.

How to get started with Employee Based Content:

  • Talk to your employees

    • Making sure your employees are on board with being in videos is step one, but the most important thing is that they are excited about it. You can’t force people to be comfortable on camera and if you try to work with people who just aren’t about it your content will not perform well - this needs to come naturally.

  • Develop a content plan

    • What content do you plan to create? Are there different team members who can bring different things to the table? From trending content to talking about industry news - it’s great to test out different topics and filming formats to see what connects with your audience.

  • Discuss process and execution

    • How will you create this content? Not only do you need on camera talent, but people to film and edit the content prior to pushing it to social.
