Increasing Social Engagement Through Brand Ambassador Programs

As a social media agency our number one conversation with clients is growth - whether that is sales, followers, or views - growth is top of mind. While we love what social media can do, a holistic strategy typically amplifies things even more. When email marketing, Google Ads, your website, etc are pushing people to be involved in the brand (and lead back to social) it’s a win win - the funnel we all want and need. It may be hard to get all of this in place especially for smaller teams, but what we want to talk about today is a hot topic with our clients: Brand Ambassador Programs.

While brand ambassador programs are great for many reasons, we love how they can help support brands on social media. Today I want to talk about one specific program that I am obsessed with (and if you are a client you already know): TYB (Try Your Best).

I first discovered this program in covid from Body Vodka. I was on their site and saw “Body Social Club” and was intrigued. This led me to their TYB platform.

What is TYB?
“Where community engagement actually pays off”

TYB is a community rewards platform for brands and fans to connect and grow together.

Why do we like TYB?

  • TYB allows customers to be on multiple brand programs within one login/interface

  • The “challenges” that ambassadors can participate in is unique

  • Rewards seem to be unique and very customizable

  • TYB offers their own email platform for your program participants

However my favorite thing about TYB is that is really feels like a community and you can make “challenges” to have people engage and post on social media for your brand. Many other tools can do this, but from what I have seen they are not as successful at getting people to follow through. And it seems like TYB could be its own social platform in the future.

Check out some of my favorite brands on the platform:
